Celebrate the Liverpool Irish Festival – with family and friends – in a day incorporating music, talks and activities for everyone to enjoy, across the day.
Delivered in partnership with National Museums Liverpool, with contributions from Liverpool Comhaltas, the Institute of Irish Studies at University of Liverpool, various artists and organisations, this is a true highlight of the festival, where culture sharing, enjoyment and conviviality are at the centre of all we do.
Across the day, there will be various activities, including performances of plays, monologues and music; tours of Irish artefacts; talks and forums; arts and craft workshops and Irish language drop ins; story telling and a raft of fun things to engage in, entertain and inform.
Although we are still working on the details, this free event will not fail to give you a flavour of Irish culture and creativity. With something for everyone across the day, from niche to popular, we see this as a central event within the Liverpool Irish Festival and sincerelu hpe you will come and share it with us.
As part of the day, we will host The Lily and The Poppy, our ongoing partnership with the Institute of Irish Studies at University of Liverpool and present various Irish led groups from across the city.
Historically, this event is delivered in partnership with National Museums Liverpool, Liverpool Comhaltas and Melody Makers with support from the Institute of Irish Studies at University of Liverpool and sponsored by Tourism Ireland. It also forms part of a wider Family Weekend programme, which includes a Family Céilí at the Liverppool Irish Centre. Please see the other events listings for details.
