How to use our GPS system and rich content

To get the best use of the functions, we recommend scanning this QR code (code will follow shortly) on your phone or tablet, before you leave to go on the Trail. If you are already on the Trail and didn’t do this before you left, don’t worry. Use this link

Leave your browser/tab open

Instead of an app that you have to download (which takes up memory), you will need to keep your browser window and tab open. This will use your data roaming, so please be mindful of charges.

Keeping the browser tab open will allow GPS to help you navigate between our 15-Trail locations. You can choose which location you wish to visit first. We’d encourage you to listen to the overview first.

Each location will bring you information about its significance to the Liverpool Irish Famine Trail and its connection with An Gorta Mór (The Great Hunger).
