Based in the heart of St Helens, Lucem House is a volunteer-led and not-for-profit social enterprise providing cinema, performance space and meeting rooms for art, history, poetry and reading groups. They also aim to provide screenings of independent / international films of artistic merit that are accessible to both the local community and those further afield.

As their name suggests, Lucem House Community Cinema Plus+ really is more than just a cinema. Based in the former Unitarian Chapel at the end of Corporation Street, it is a vibrant and exciting space at the heart of the arts scene in St Helens.

With regular screenings from a diverse catalogue of films, professional projection equipment, a huge screen and 50 comfy seats, it truly is a sanctuary for film lovers. Their prime location in St Helens town centre means we’re also perfect for your own film or performance experience, as well as meetings and other functions.
